Overview

At a time when politicians and profiteers were imposing onerous mandates, testing, and other barriers to effective education on public schools—both in Wisconsin and across the nation—the Wisconsin Education Association Council worked with Visuality to produce "Interfere": an innovative, unusual :60-second TV spot calling attention to the problem. Featuring a motley collection of politicians, lobbyists, and privateers plotting against public education—and citing specific, real-life issues threatening Wisconsin schools—the spot shone a bright light on the back-room anti-education conspiracy facing public schools and demonstrated that it was up to education advocates and supporters to do something about it.
